Howdy,
Atlantic Beach isn't doing it for me lately, and I have been hitting up UNF mini and Monument. I am looking for more of a bowl/ pool. Does anyone ride anything like that down here?
I left Maryland for better weather/ people/ way of life, but I left behind clean overhead tubes in the fall, and bowl riding.
So if you skate roundwall, let me know.

There's some stuff to skate in backyards around here.
A couple of pools, a skatepark and a bunch of ramps and a couple of bowls.

Sally - having skated there and loved it, I would love to have a picture of me hucking a huge air at the chief bowl on ECA, but I don't think it has happened. I may have seen you last summer in OBX around the 4th though!

Beerbelly - let's session sometime soon!

I have only been there once and definitely need to get back. I like the team pain bowl. Something about fees, waivers, and tons of day care age children turns me away. The old school flow is fun there as well.

If you know of any parks that are as quality as Kona, that don't have fees, waivers, and kids, then you should stick with those spots. Otherwise, I think your going to need to just relax about people needing to make a living, maintain the park, and not get sued and learn to share.

$10 - 11 a pop is a steep donation for a park that is falling apart. But hey, maybe I am just used to skating great parks that don't rob you... But I appreciate your whole "skateboarding is a business" approach, it is respectable.

AB is a good park, Monument is fun too, and UNF has a pretty cool mini, so luckily, Kona isn't the only terrain in town. But I would like to hit it up once in a while. In a recession, maybe it isn't the best place to call your local spot.

you sound like a little bitch. pay a membership and it's never over $5. most times its under $3. its not hard to go at a time when there arent "day care children" everywhere. i bet you're bummed on the "park falling apart" because you skate the street section that might have a few chips here and there. i thought this was a thread about pools? has kona's pool fallen apart? i didnt think conrete did that... i understand some people have problems paying to skate. dont complain to everyone else just cause you're a cheap bastard.

been a long time since i've been to kona - before they resurfaced the pool. By far my favorite place to skate pretty much ever.

The orlando skatepark is a blast too. probably my second favorite skatepark.
